Gabrielle Gingras
Biography
Gabrielle Gingras is a filmmaker originally from Ville-Marie in the Témiscamingue region. She moved to Montreal for the Film Production program at Concordia University, where she worked on projects that were selected for several festivals. Building on this experience, Gabrielle graduated and entered the professional film industry as an assistant director, successfully landing contract after contract—film sets quickly becoming a second home. Simultaneously, she embarked on her own project, a short fiction film shot entirely in her native Témiscamingue. In it, she explores themes that have long been close to her heart: meteorology, childhood fears, and family. The short film, titled Le temps des orages (Stormy Weather), is currently in distribution. Her next short film, titled Miss Météo, is in development.
