Director's Note
In cinema, addicts are often portrayed as cautionary tales. But what happens when the addicted person is also the most magnetic one in the room? Inspired by a true story, Tight Lettuce is a son's love letter to his charismatic, funny, and irreplaceable father. The film takes an honest look at the rift that addiction creates in everyone who loves an addict. The family fragments. Relationships twist and break. And yet, love remains. It's this contradiction that we rarely see on screen. This is the film that my team and I chose to create with immense pride.
