Young Adam Loera attempts the crossing between Mexico and the United States with his brother Carlos. As the desert threatens to swallow them whole, a phone booth appears like a beacon in the middle of the ocean, its ringing like a siren's song.

Inspired by Julie Hétu's book of the same name, the film tackles a topical subject by blending this cruel reality with a certain poetry, where imagination becomes a lifeline.
