MY UNCLE PATOF

Un documentaire de Sandrine Béchade

Synopsis
The clown PATOF left its mark on a generation of young Quebecers in the 1970s, but his dazzling success is as enigmatic as the man who played the character: Jacques Desrosiers. His nephew, Serge Desrosiers, traces the journey of the man who was not only his millionaire uncle, but above all the famous PATOF. He delves into unpublished archives and meets those who knew Jacques, such as the great Dominique Michel. Between his encounters, the nephew dons the legendary PATOF costume to discover the magic at work, but also the weight of playing such a character. Did Jacques Desrosiers break too many taboos? MY UNCLE PATOF tells us about the man behind the clown.
