DIRECTOR'S WORD
This film is an ode to my childhood in St-Jean Baptiste, a colorful neighborhood in Quebec City, where the culture of mutual aid shaped my outlook on life and cinema. Chez Ghislaine explores themes such as solidarity and family, while highlighting the importance of community in the face of fear of the Other in a world where individualism fosters isolation.
