On a snowbound night, a lonely orphan exhumes his father’s corpse and brings him back to life — but as he cares for the fragile creature he’s awakened, he learns that love is far stranger than death.
Synopsis - short
On a winter’s night, Romeo, a wide-eyed orphan, digs up his father’s corpse, drags it home, and wakes him up from the dead. Like a newborn, the father slowly rediscovers his senses, while Romeo does his best to take care of him. Though they no longer belong to the same world, both men share a fragility that cannot be concealed.

Fred Gervais is a Montreal based photographer, painter, and filmmaker. In 2023, he collaborated with French artist Yseult and directed her music videos I Love You and Perdue. His career as a photographer has led him to capture artists such as Xavier Dolan, Monia Chokri, Woodkid, Adele, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz, among others. In 2024, Fred directed his first film, Roméo et son corps.
