BOOK "A Last Scar"

On January 22, 2014, Yvon Rioux helplessly witnessed a tragic scene in the parking lot of the high school where he taught: a police officer fired two shots at David, a seventeen-year-old student, killing him. Haunted by this tragedy, the former popular singer from the Laurentians region of Quebec saw his life turned upside down. The trauma brought back demons from his past and led him to embark on a journey that left those around him perplexed. He set off for Poland, intending to visit the largest concentration camp complex of the Third Reich, which served as both a concentration camp and an extermination center. This documentary invites us along the path to recovery and sensitively addresses the reality of post-traumatic stress.
