Inspired by my Anthropology Studies, I set out to make a film that would depict the Anthropocene, this new geological period where human activity has infiltrated itself in every last space of the planet, and where natural phenomenons are impossible to separate from sociological phenomenons. In this strange new world, simple snowflakes falling from the sky can produce all sorts of reactions: mecanical ones, playful ones, bureaucratic, nostalgic.

Then, a friend of mine showed me a musical composition he was creating where he was using the infamous siren sound of Montreal's snow removal trucks and transforming it into a bittersweet, melancholic melody.

Using this song as a throughline, I started documenting winter around me with my camera. I tried to reveal, with images and candid interviews, the rich and complex interactions between the city's inhabitants and those oh-so-problematic snowflakes.
