DIRECTOR - BIO

Franie-Éléonore has directed numerous short films, including Danavan (Show Me Shorts Film Festival), Fond bleu (FNC, Palm Springs International ShortFest), and her most recent work, Chez Ghislaine (Festival Regard). Her diverse background has led her to direct several humorous advertising campaigns as well as an award-winning music video at ADISQ. DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

This film is an ode to my childhood in St-Jean Baptiste, a colorful neighborhood in Quebec, where the spirit of togetherness shaped my vision of life and cinema. Chez Ghislaine explores themes of solidarity and family, highlighting the importance of community in the face of the fear of the Other in a world where individualism fosters isolation.
